Back
in the days of the ancients, a little girl was growing up
with extraordinary healing powers. The elders noticed her
gifts, and decided to take the little girl under their guidance
to nurture her talents and teach her the ancient healing ways.
As she grew, so did her gifts and her beauty. Stories about
her were being told around the world, and her presence was
requested by many royals and politicians of the day. She was
revered throughout Egypt and Rome, and was treated as royalty
herself.
Soon, tales of the girl reached a mysterious prince from Parthia,
who demanded a meeting with her. When he saw her, he knew
he could not ever let her leave. The Prince was handsome and
rich, so the girl was happy to keep coming back. When he revealed
to her that he was a vampire, the girl was not surprised.
She had figured it out long ago, and by that time she was
already in love with him.
When the time came for her transformation, she was ready.
She gave up her past life of healing, gave up her ancient
gifts and love of humanity willingly for the prince. He renamed
her Sukhra, the color of blood, and they journeyed the world
together for centuries.
Sukhra loved the prince, and she loved her new life - until
the night of the betrayal. She doesn't remember much after
plunging the stake through his heart, and tearing the throat
out of the young girl he held in his arms. But she does remember
the vow she made that night to never fall prey to another,
and to honor the gifts that were bestowed upon her so many
years ago. She sat in the blood of her lover and cried and
repeated her vows to heal once again. She looked up, and a
hand reached out to her through the darkness. She was now
Scarlett, a Spooky Girl, as it was always meant to be.
